That was perfect
An ingenious combination of movie and real life events that fit together perfectly, with great style and fun humor to boot. This was a great idea, I loved it.

I love ideas that spark creativity
I would like to extend my thanks to you for this wonderful idea. It's amazing how an idea as simple as a red line can create such beautiful art. Original, inspiring, and a much needed addition to the portal. Congratulations to everyone who participated, it was a smashing success.
Brilliant
And I was just hoping something like that would happen. I believe it would have been a harder hitting film had the scene been more disturbing/violent, but it's fantastic as is. Great flash!
The greatest mario and sprite animation ever.
Finally, a sprite animator who knows what he's doing. Story-wise, what can I say, an outstanding after-story to a legendary game. It was completely unique, I really enjoyed your version of the mushroom kingdom. Your sprite animation skills are unparralled, and to think I had almost given up on them alltogether. Bowser has never been so bad-ass, the ressurection/zombie aspect really has that effect. A full out war? I don't think a single Mario fan could disagree that it's about damn time. Great music, great effects, great ending, I especially enjoyed the after-credit continuation. Thank you for this.
Don't ever stop making these my friend.
I fully support, and appreciate, everything you are trying to do. The truth about marijuana needs to be heard. If marijuana was so terrible, then why would it be legal in places outside of the U.S.? Most people don't even know why it was illegalized in the first place. Hemp used to be the main source of clothing and other everyday items, until cotton came along. The man who discovered cotton (Can't remember his name) brought to a court's attention that marijuana had mind altering affects. This of course was perceived as a bad thing, and poof, there goes freedom. Marijuana is 10 times stronger then cotton, lasts 10 times longer, and if you were to dedicate 2% of America to growing it (much less than cotton mind you), it could completely replace cotton in the entire U.S. But, that guy wanted to sell cotton, and who the hell would buy it if there was something more efficient. You probably already kow all of this, it's just mind blowing that people are such sycophantic sheep. I dedicate this next joint to you, my friend. Keep making these.
That does sound like a terrible day
About my last review; seems I thought your cousin was your son, and that he was taking about his age when he said the "8th level" my apologies. I realized both of these were not true afterwards. How foolish of me.
Another great child-like animation, short, but satisfying. I think you should just have him make up stories and see what comes out. The possibilities are endless.
lol ty. I tired teaching him how to use a mic and send me files, but, he tries to break it everytime. A little ball of energy.
Young kids, in all their glory.
Great flash, and a wonderful topic to base it off of. I remember reviewing some things not too long ago that I wrote and drew when I was very young, somewhere around the "8th level", -which, by the way, was hilarious in itself- and all I could do was laugh my ass off. The things that I created seem so bizarre and different now that I have reached an age that seemed so far off at the time. It just shows how different the mind, and world for that matter, works when you're a child. But back to your movie. Everything fit perfectly. The music, the animation, the art style, you made it really look like your son drew it. The sound quality was also fantastic. Most flash animators could learn a thing or two about story-telling from your son, irony at its best. I hope you and your son continue making these.
Yay... honor getting review by you! Actually i'm only 14, I haven't had secks. :( Hes my 6 year old cousin. But, your review almost brought a tear to my eye. Marked "helpful" for great justice! :) <3
Delightfully symbolic.
I came to this flash quite melancholy, the news of "Aura: Story Mode"'s removal from Newgrounds still erodes my very being. I can still watch the film at your website, of course; It's just upsetting to know that it has less exposure while disconnected from such a populous medium. Asking for the absence of questions is more disheveling still, but your request is honored. Anyway, on with the film at hand.
It's nice to see such artistic variety from one film to the next, and in your case, each style is equally impressive. This one reminds me of that violent, giddy child inside. I almost want to squeal in glee at the beheading. Your musical choice carried that dark humor surprisingly well. But my favorite aspect in this film is it's disturbing truth hidden underneith. This is pretty much exactly what's happening, they get your mind off of the important matters to sell you crap, and fuck you too =). I also loved the nod to "Smile!" at the end. Don't ever stop expressing your mind Alekzander, I will always love to hear about it. Most excellent work.
An excellent CT tribute film
I like to look at this film as a much more detailed and in-depth battle sequence then the game could ever provide. You can express character emotion, teqnique, and reaction, which you clearly have. The style, music, and moves all stayed true to the original game, including the swinging pedulum which you masterfully depicted. A most enjoyable fan-film bursting with nostalgia, excellent work.
A delightful prelude to All Hallows Eve.
First and foremost, you art style and animation are a rare treat. Very polished, and very pleasing to the eye. Your voice acting was great, regardless of the small volume there was, and the story was overall enjoyable; just that little nudge to get us prepared for the things to come during this great season. I applaude your work and hope you will continue to share with us what is inside your mind.
Can You See?
