Amazing

Incredible production value. It's every classic game genre rolled in to one huge, stinking turd. Great premise, great movie. I applaud you.

One huge, stinking turd! Did you actually smell the turd?

This looks amazing

I generally frown on trailers for flash animation. It's not like they're very long or anticipated enough to warrant a preview. However you have quite an exception here. This trailer is masterfully crafted, and seems to show clips from several upcoming episodes, at least I hope. The story looks great, your art style is fresh, the animation smooth, and the gore looks like it's going to be dumped on us in large quantities - always a plus. I must admit I'm excited for your upcoming films, and will be looking for what you have to offer in the future.

Comick responds:

Thanks man for the kind words! I appreciate you gave the preview a chance, and in the end liked it too! :D

good animation to a great soundbite

Despite the fact that the best part of this flash is the sound clip from The Importance of Being Earnest, I found this film wildly appropriate for you, and a good entry for an otherwise overall disappointing Clock Day. The animation was good, and conveyed the hilarious conversation very well. Good work!

Hilarious

This was a great short. It was well paced, had some excellent voice acting, and was just long enough to pull off the joke. I enjoyed your art style as well.
Great work!

This was a real treat

First off; Great concept and genuinely creepy. The first and last lines are the stuff of nightmares and poetry.

There were so many things done so well in this animation. The girl's whispering narrative coupled with the almost illegible diary-like text was a fine touch. The girl seemed a bit out of place, like she was drawn by someone else, but it really worked here. The fairy was perfect; A harmless dream-creature twisted into a ferocious nightmare. Great style with the silhouette as well. The fact that the little girl couldn't see the true visage of her tormentor was brilliant. If that's all this animation consisted of - just another nightmare - I wouldn't have been as impressed.

But it wasn't

The ending really stole the show, and it was made that much better by the events preceding it. The thought that one would rather be chased by their demons than to be left in the isolation, utter darkness, and uncertainty of things that are sure to come. The thought of That which waits for you doesn't want to eat you, it has something far worse and unimaginable in store. Pure terror.

I've been on this site for a long time, and I've seen more animations than I care to count. I don't review very often anymore either, but yours has compelled me to do so. I had to let you know that this, like your other work, is truly a great story. You have captured the essence of personal horror. If I wore hats, they would be going off to you. BRAVO.

An Incredible Movie

This is defnitely one of the best Clock Day submissions I've had the pleasure of viewing, out of any year. Moody, dark, brilliantly animated a very deep. The fact that it featured clocks I would think would take away from the atmosphere, but this turned out to be a wonderful combination. I hope to see a lot more of your work in the future.

PropagandaClock responds:

I am glad you enjoyed it ! If you haven't you can watch Cog of Man, it has the same style and "story".

Happy post-Clockday !
The ClockCrew loves all.

Johnny, you are the man

Original characters, hilarious dialog, fantastic animation, and the same old JohnnyUtah voice, what's not to love? I could wish for more appearances by Gigantor in later animations, but the fact that this is the only thing he'll ever be in (I hope) is part of what makes it so funny. Great work, as always.

A superb Newgrounds Tribute

Masterfully crafted. Movies like these always pack a powerful nostalgic punch. It reminds me of how long I've been a part of this community and all the great films I've seen come and go. I have a feeling this will live on in the history of the portal. Great work!

Excellent Tribute

Very creative, makes me want to go back and replay some of these great titles. I was very happen to see Blood Will Tell made the cut. Nice work!

Good stuff

I agree with almost everything you're saying in here, good stuff. However, I also recognize the flaws in your presentation. I've always had a problem with expressing my philosiphies and thoughts to a wide audience. Unless it's one on one, I'm not going to get through. One small part of this problem is the fact that most people are, indeed, stupid. Whenever I'm trying to express this and similar thoughts to lots of people, I realize that I'm expressing this thought to a widely stupid audience, who will immediately dislike me/you and disregard everything I/you have to say henceforth. Thus making my/your attempt to spread some useful and insightful knowledge to many an exercise in futility. It's a big problem. I can go on but you get the picture.

Anyway, I thought it was a good presentation, but I can tell you that most people will not, they really hate the truth. But I can definitely say that you are someone I could get along with very well. Nice work.
