I'm really happy to see this got front page

This movie was a unique experience of artistic expression, and I hope it wasn't meant as a joke, because it was somthing I really enjoyed. It's good to see that Tom Fulp is open to this style, and respects it for what it is. Your work is inspiring, wonderful flash.

Ranxx responds:

Thanks TheVampire,
Seriously it's reviews like this that keep me submitting. Long ago when I got death threats over Reptilian Rampage I almost left NG. Now I've come to realize the various reasons some ppl aren't capable of leaving a competent review and the puerile reviews don't phase me anymore. Fortunately NG has a growing number of intelligent ppl, like you, who are open to ideas beyond sticks and video game sprites. Flash truly is an amazing multimedia medium. I think it has the potential to create real art. Since I can't draw like Adam Phillips(prowlies at the river) I do what I can using the skills I have as a computer programmer/artist. In other words I really appreciate your review and share your hope that the NG crew are open to unusual ways to use flash. I've seen too many really good flashes get bad ratings in the portal simply because they are too sophisticated.

Not Bad

An interesting look into a man's experience with shrooms, and I must say, I really liked it. The twitching, the quick flashes of pain/background change, the random changes in environment and time. Very good animation and art style as well. The only thing I could find wrong was the sound would screw up sometimes, but maybe you meant it to be like that. Either way, fantastic work.

Mek1985 responds:

Ha, thanks. Yeah the sound was awfully distorted at some parts but it seemed to add to the story.

Perfect Spy vs. Spy Style

You've truly captured what Spy vs. Spy is all about. Fast-pace, short, and humorous run-ins of the two enemies. Great choice of event with the Three Little Pigs, I could really see this being actual episode if the graphics and style were a bit different. But then I guess it wouldn't be yours. Well, I'm not complaining about it, great work.

Jszostak responds:

thanks! means alot

Absolutly Beautiful

Your movie has displayed my own continuous, neverending thoughts. As I watched it, I felt as if you had delved into my mind to express what I could not. Showing infinity, the greatest, and at times, the worst thing ever sought to comprehend. The vast amount that we do not know is overwhelming, and dangerous to think about at times. A beautiful flash, you are definatly the kind of thoughtful person I could have endless conversations with, and would enjoy doing so. Wonderful work.

Gusto responds:

"The vast amount that we do not know is overwhelming, and dangerous to think about at times."

Well said, dangerous as it can be far beyond our reach of understanding which we do not like to accept.

Thank you dearly for the respectful review.

I'd love to converse about this matter.

Classic B-movie style

I was glad to see that this one started off pretty much where the last one ended, even though you didn't put the intro in this one, which could have fitted. I was a bit confused about where the hero got his exchangable hand, or why he ran back into the house that had swarming zombies around it, but going along with the b-movie style, I suppose it fit. That vibrating hand attachment was hilarious. Overall, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first, but there was some good zombie (and human) killing action, which is always good. Nice work. And on a final note, you really need to work on your car drawings :)

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

I didn't put the intro for two reasons, I wanted to start off the episode right away and also I had barely any more room (file size wise) to fit it believe it or not. I came really close to the 5,000.0 KB limit that Newgrounds has, with a 4,989.0 Kbs.
I'm more than happy that you enjoyed the zombie death, and to explain the vibrating hand is simply this:
Man is right handed, Man loses his hand, Man replaces his right Hand with a robotic mechanism that can slide out a variety of any item he needs for himself, either being a fork, spoon, knife, gun, or even a little helper buddy for those lonely nights. I've had to explain the Vibrator scene to 4 people, haha, and I've always said "lonely nights"
CARS, yeah, I can draw anything onto paper EXCEPT for cars for some odd reason. I don't know why, I just can't draw cars. I can draw trucks, and thats what I drew in the movie. Glad you enjoyed Episode 2, not more than Episode 1, but you still liked it nonetheless. Episode 3 will be Episode 1 & 2 elements put into a fusion.

Great Intro

A fantastic intro, good music, sound effects. The story seems like it could go a few places, I just hope it doesn't get really lame. The voice had a little room for improvement, considering the girl (at least I hope it supposed to be a girl) behind the bar had the same male voice. The Wilson character was a great spoof, I always wanted to tell that guy to shove his "tips" when I was little. Good ending as well. I guess what I'm trying to say is, all around, a very good movie. Nice work.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Thanx for the awesome review on Episode 1. I'm not the best voice actor, but decent enough for this movie. Also, I purposely made the girlman bartender sound like a man (the loading screen says "starring Girlman) so the gender is whatever you persieve it to be, heh. Thank you once again for your great comment!

It's not flash

Even considering the fact that you controlled the player while taking the footage, the fact remains that it is just stolen from a game. Nothing in this movie is actaully yours. And the footage itself is nothing new, every person that has ever played GTA III, has done those exact, or extremly similar things. Try submitting flash to the flash portal.

ShibbyHoboJoe responds:

heh, how about you try submitting flash to the flash portal, then we'll talk

A great surprise

Well, in under a minute from writing my review for part 1, my hopes were fulfilled. The same great art style, animation, sound, story, and this time, humor! Especailly during the games, the cat's mutation, "do what you would do to your dog when he bothers you", and when he passes off the duty of catching the cat with the trash can to his friend. The cat was awesome; both smart and deadly. And he scores major points for sounding like arguably the most bad-ass alien ever (rivaling with predator); "Alien". The only thing I could really find wrong with it was that the guy wearing the white shirt (forget his name) would have ripped pants in one scene, and not in the next, but nothing major. I was very, very pleased with episode 1 altogether, fantastic work.

Baron-Fredrico responds:

Damn I knew someone would notice. I actually accidentally gave Bobby shoes for the whole second part. I had to go back and remove them. I forgot about the trousers though.
Thanks for the review.

Great art style

This was a very good film with fantastic art. The intro alone was very promising, but I was a little dissapointed by the actual movie. Though sound, graphics, and animation stayed consistent, the humor was incredibly dry and didn't really keep me entertained. However, the rest of the dimensions were so well done that it should still get a great score (you get a 4 from me). Nice work, and I'm hoping for dialog improvement for part 2.

Baron-Fredrico responds:

Thanks for the review.
It's really hard coming up with funny jokes that everyone will get. Hopefully as the series goes on, everyone will get to know the characters better and then I can start introducing character only jokes and because you know the characters personalities it'd be funny. It's hard to be make someone funny if you don't know what there like.
I think that makes sense...
anyway thanks for the review.

I love that joke

I first heard that joke I beleive in 5th grade, and being athiest makes it that much more funny, glad to see someone finally made it into a flash. Nice work.

NeeKnight responds:

Glad to see that you can laugh at it without taking it personally. Thanks for the review.
